Roanoke, VA - Roanoke Mayor David Bowers has received his party's nod to once again run for the position.
The democratic firehouse primary, held Saturday, saw Mayor Bowers take on challenger Sam Rasoul.
Mayor Bowers won by a vote of 867 to 526.
March 6 is the deadline for GOP or independent challengers to enter the race.
Roanoke's general election, for Mayor and three council seats, is May 1.
