The ORU women were hoping to have a good showing at South Dakota State Monday night. A win would have pulled the Golden Eagles within one game of the conference lead. But a poor shooting night results in a 70-51 loss.
ORU shot just 32% from the field. Now the Golden Eagles are three games behind the Jackrabbits with five conference games to play.
Jaci Bigham did score a season-high 23 points. But ORU star Kevi Luper was held to just nine.
Oral Roberts will try to rebound
Saturday against Western Illinois.
