State Basketball Finals Set for Broadcast

WSET ABC 13 announced Thursday it has reached an agreement to broadcast all Virginia High School League state final games in basketball.

The games will be played at VCU in Richmond on March 9 and 10. Both boys and girls finals in Division 1, 2, 3, 4 & AAA will be seen on either ABC 13 or Channel 13.2 "RTV."

As part of the station's commitment to Full Court Press coverage, the games will begin at 2 p.m. Friday March 9 and will conclude with the 9 p.m. game on Saturday March 10. Closer to game time, it will be determined which games air on 13.2 RTV and which ones air on ABC 13.

Station General Manager Randy Smith said "it's part of WSET's dedication to local programming, along with a commitment to coverage of high school athletics."

All games will be played at the Siegel Center on the VCU campus.
