Ellington Fridays in Lynchburg will have "The Cheezy Westerns" on stage February 10, 2012. The band includes some of Lynchburg's best musicians. They play a diverse set of songs including old school country and rock. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and the band will start playing at 6 p.m. Tickets are $10.
If you feel like showing off some moves, Lynchburg Elks Lodge is having its Valentine Dance on Saturday, February 11. There will be live music from the "Almost Brothers" as well as food and prizes. Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door.
Also in Lynchburg, Magnolia Foods will have a Valentine's Day wine tasting from noon- 4 p.m. on Valentine's Day. They also have a special Valentine's Dinner you can pick up on Tuesday, but you have to order by this Saturday, February 11. The menu includes four courses and a bottle of wine. That's about $55 per couple.
The Roanoke Symphony Orchestra will perform at the Jefferson Center Feb. 12 at 3 p.m. and Feb. 13 at 8 p.m. You can hear Howard Hanson's Romantic Symphony and Mahler's musical love letter. Tickets are $22 -$50 and $8 for students.
