Appomattox, VA - Interactive smart boards are coming to classrooms in Appomattox.
The town manager says the $10 million renovations to Appomattox Primary School are coming in under budget, so they'll use the extra money to outfit all 37 classrooms with SMART boards.
The combination of a computer and whiteboard costs between $3,000 - $4,000 a piece. They're supposed to make teaching more fun and interactive.
Renovations to the school are being paid for by interest-free bonds from the state. Construction is slated to wrap up this summer.
