Lynchburg, VA - It's an initiative to get workers out of the office and out on the streets to workout.
The Bank of the James in Lynchburg has started a program called the BOJT Revolution. Employees there will walk or run 100 miles in 100 days.
So far 50 people have signed up to take the challenge. And they can win big at work if they take first place. The grand prize winner can choose a free membership to a gym or free healthy food.
"We can really help people enjoy being active, and if we can do that over the course of 100 days then once those incentives disappear, hopefully that intrinsic motivation will be there so they'll stay with it," said Shirley Deen, senior VP of human resources.
It all starts Saturday morning on Main Street, and workers are even encouraged to bring their family members and pets.
