Boil Water Advisory in Effect for Areas of Lynchburg

Lynchburg, VA - The City of Lynchburg and the Virginia Department of Health have issued a boil water advisory because of a water main break that happened Friday afternoon.

The impacted areas include: Wards Road (from Fort Avenue to Atlanta Ave), Fenwick Drive (Glenfield Drive to Kenwood Place), Sheffield Drive, Glenfield Drive, Kenwood Place, Berkshire Place, Middleboro Place, Edgewood Avenue, Dublin Street, Quaker Parkway, Autumn Drive, Edinboro Avenue, White Oak Drive, Killarney Place, Woodall Road, Border Street, Short Street, Seminole Avenue and Glass Avenue (including River Ridge Mall, Shakers Restaurant, Red Lobster).

Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, beverage and food preparation, and making ice until further notice. Bring all tap water to a rolling boil, let it boil for one (1) minute, and let it cool before using, or use bottled water.
