Lynchburg, VA - It was a busy season for Virginia Tech Quarterback Logan Thomas and University of Virginia Quarterback Michael Rocco. But both found some down time Saturday.

Thomas and Rocco came home to Lynchburg to put in some volunteer time. They came together at the Interfaith Outreach Association along with some local kids.

Together, they arranged personalized letters to inmates as part of Interfaith's new volunteer program.

Thomas and Rocco say it's important for them to give back especially when they have some time off the field.

"It was a cool opportunity to give back to my hometown Lynchburg and Interfaith Ministries so we're here and it's a fun time we're having," Rocco said.

"We're here to just be a human being like everybody else. We don't want to be looked at any differently as well. We wanna give back and be all that we can be as a person," Thomas said.

Interfaith Outreach Association is seeking volunteers. If you'd like to get involved go here:
