Lynchburg, VA - How about a game of pool that's actually a fundraiser? Some locals played for the title of Cavalier Cup Champion.
Dozens of locals also came out to watch the game in downtown Lynchburg. On Sunday so far, the Cavalier has brought in about $3,000.
All that money, up to $7,000 goes out to various charities. This year event organizers chose the Lynchburg Humane Society.
"We all enjoy shooting pool and getting together, and if we can do that and raise money, there's no reason why we shouldn't do that," said co-tournament director George Vaughan.
"Oh my gosh, it's going to help in so many ways. because our operational costs are very high," said President of the Board of Directors for the Lynchburg Humane Society Brenda Gray,
The Cavalier Cup champion's name will be engraved on the pool table.
