Lynchburg, VA - Doyle's Florist and Gifts in Lynchburg says they have already taken orders for 375 deliveries on Valentine's Day.

So as you can imagine, workers here are busy piecing together arrangements. They're say most of the orders are for roses.

If you want your flowers delivered, you need to call before 2 p.m. Tuesday. You can also always stop by in person and pick out the gifts or order online.

"Everyone loves a flower, especially a rose, and I think one think Doyle's would like you to remember is that flowers are the messenger that you can put your message on," said Debbie Miller, the owner.

Another popular form of flowers is the edible ones. Edible Arrangements will be open Tuesday for you to buy tasty treats in person. Things like chocolate dipped fruits are in high demand.

"We have really seen a lot of women coming in and buying even just chocolate strawberries, boxes of them, for their men, so it's really popular," said Terri Connor, manager at Edible Arrangements.

A Lynchburg restaurant says at their place, it's first come, first served.

Robin Alexander seats up to 220 people at once, and they say on Valentine's they don't take reservations.

But they do have Valentine's Day specials like this lobster dinner with desserts like red velvet cheesecake topped off with a bottle of wine. Or you can get it to go.

" Buy that china that she wants, buy that set of dishes that she wants, and then take our food and put it on there so then you get both, the things that last and the food you can put on it, said Alex Richardson, owner of Robin Alexander

You may not be so lucky at other places. Olive Garden on Wards Road says they expect about an hour wait for couples Tuesday night, and Neighbor's Place says they too expect a packed crowd, but you can reserve a table online.
