Danville, VA - A driver is facing charges after a head-on collision on Route 29 in Danville Monday.
Danville Police sayJohn Beckelheimer, 46, of Pittsylvania County was driving drunk north on Route 29 when he lost control and crossed into the southbound lanes, hitting a pickup truck.
Beckelheimer was airlifted to Roanoke and will be arraigned at a later date on DUI charges.
The other driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, and has since been released.
All lanes are back open on Route 29.
