Danville, VA --One way to show your love on Valentine's Day is to get hitched, and Thursday at Ben David Jewelers in Danville, people recited their vows every half hour.

This is Ben David's fifth year of hosting weddings. He says 13 couples tied the knot Valentine's Day. Some couples were first-timers and others were there to renew their vows.

When better to say "I do" than on Valentine's Day?

"Two special occasions on the same day," said James Jackson, who was there getting married.

That's why this jewelry store turned wedding chapel has each half hour slot booked.

"We're surrounded by millions of dollars worth of jewelry and there is nothing more beautiful than sparkling diamonds, other than for the sparkle in her eyes," says Carl Kraft.

Four years ago, Carl and Cynthia Kraft tied the knot right here under Ben David Jeweler's roof. So they retraced their steps and renewed their vows.

"Without them we wouldn't have had the money to be able to really do much of any kind of a wedding," says Carl Kraft.

Each couple that signs up for a ceremony receives a cake, champagne, flowers and photos. It's all free, they don't even have to buy a ring.

"It offered hope. You know everyone dreams of the big day that you meet the person that you want to spend the rest of your life with. I think it's a real blessing for them," says Stephanie Mitchen, operations manager of Ben David Jewelers.

For some, it offers a service they couldn't afford during a down economy, and for others it gives them an excuse to celebrate Valentine's Day in a very big way.

"The most expensive wedding you could have was surrounded by millions of dollars worth of jewelry. Even though it was free," said Carl and Cynthia Kraft.

They are also having a grand prize for one lucky couple that includes dinner, a spa package and even a little honeymoon stay in Greensboro, North Carolina. Ben David Jewelers plans to do it all again next year.
