Lynchburg, VA - Another Lynchburg city council member is going public with plans to run for office again.
Tuesday afternoon at the Parlor Ballroom downtown, Ward II council member Ceasor Johnson announced that he will seek re-election. He joined city council in 2004.
His supporters listened to him highlight his goals. Those include public education, the renovations at Heritage High School and a focus on public safety.
"Not just one department but all departments - fire, police and 911 responders - to get the fair treatment that they deserve. And not only them but all 1,400 city employees that have worked for the last 4 years without any raise," said Johnson.
City council elections are coming up in May.
