Montgomery County, VA - One lane of Interstate 81 in Montgomery County is shut down, after a wreck sent two people down a seventy-foot embankment.
State Police said around 2:30p.m. Wednesday, a tractor trailer was headed north at mile marker 127.5 when it slammed into the back of a box truck, and sent the truck off the road.
The driver, Adam DeHaven, 24, of Roanoke, and his passenger were airlifted to Roanoke Carilion Memorial Hospital. No word on their conditions.
The driver of the tractor trailer, Louis Rosiles, 63, of Eagle Pass, TX was not injured. He is charged with following too closely.
