The famous adaptation of The Wizard of Oz" is hitting the stage at the Academy of Fine Arts Warehouse Theatre this weekend. The Black Theatre Ensemble presents "The Wiz" February 17-19. Tickets to the musical are $15 for adults, $10 for seniors and $5 for children. You can check it out Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m.
The Ellington in Lynchburg will have Corey Harris and the Rasta Blues Experience on Friday, Feb. 18. Harris has toured the world performing his own version of the blues adding influences of reggae, soul and rock. The guitarist and singer will hit the stage at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 advance or $25 at the door, and doors open at 7:30 p.m.
February 18 our own Lynchburg Legends take on the West Virginia Blazers. Come out to the Lynchburg City Armory for the basketball game at 7 p.m. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for children and seniors.
