Alice Holland
Bedford Co., VA- A former Bedford County bus driver is now responding to the $20 million lawsuit against her and a former bus aide.
The lawsuit was sparked by a surveillance video showing 11-year-old Timothy Kilpatrick, who has autism, being abused on a school bus in 2009.
The lawsuit claims the bus driver, Alice Holland, used a seat belt to choke Kilpatrick and restrain him.
Holland says that is not true. In a response to the lawsuit, she says she was trying to fix Kilpatrick's harness not choke him. She also denies threatening, hitting or harming Kilpatrick.
Holland says told school officials that Kilpatrick was misbehaving on the bus and was a safety concern.
