Kristina PongraczBedford Co., VA - The Bedford County woman who used her elderly boyfriend's cane to beat him to death was sentenced to 15 years in prison Friday morning.
In October, Kristina Pongracz, 29, entered a plea of 'no contest' to second-degree murder.
The judge accepted the plea and found her guilty of killing 77-year-old William Herchenrider.
Pongracz told the court Friday that she is remorseful about what happened and that there are bits and pieces of the night she doesn't really remember.
Pongracz had been charged with first degree murder dating back to May 14, 2011 when she attacked Herchenrider while reportedly in a drunken rage.
