Danville, VA - Superintendent Sue Davis says W. Townes Lea Elementary School in Danville will likely have to close its doors because of budget cuts.
Davis says the closure is due to the more than $5 million deficit under the governor's proposed budget. She says that if the school closes, the students will be divided up among other elementary schools.
Davis also says some staff will be relocated, but some will likely be let go. They have not determined if any other schools will face the same fate yet.
