SAN DIEGO - Oakwood Country Club Tennis Director Mark Vines will return to Lynchburg as a world champ.

He won the Men's 55 singles ITF World Seniors Championship in San Diego Sunday, beating Paul French of England 6-1, 6-2 in the finals.

Vines was seeded 8th and won all seven of his matches over the course of the week-long tournament and he lost only 8 games on his way to the title.
