Danville, VA -- Everyone seems to be ready for the snow, and here it is.
The people we've talked with say that after the cold, icy rain that we've been experiencing for most of the day, they are ready to see some flurries! The streets are not cleared yet, so be careful out there. But people are staying inside, there were very few cars on the road.
We caught up with an Averett student who says that many students spent the afternoon inside playing cards, watching movies, and of course doing a little bit of studying.
"Some people are probably looking forward to snow especially if they cancel school! And we have a large number of students from Florida and some of them have never seen snow so that would be really neat for them," says Averett student Harrison Francis.
And if it starts getting really bad Sunday night, the plows should be ready, there were several in parking lots.
