Lynchburg, VA – Lynchburg will be getting a dog park. When they'll break ground isn't set yet, but officials say it's happening.
Friends of the Lynchburg Dog Park has raised more than $36,000. The goal had been 35,000, but since then, prices have gone up for fencing and other things. Now they hope to have $40,000 in the bank before they break ground. Officials say they expect to start building it in the next few months after they finish the plans and take bids.
The Rotary Club is sponsoring a fundraiser at Riverviews on St. Patrick's Day that they hope will put them over the top. Details are in the works.
