Lynchburg - The ODAC Men's Tournament tips off Tuesday night.
On the men's side, Virginia Wesleyan, Randolph-Macon and Guilford all have byes and await the winners of Tuesday night's games.
Lynchburg will face a Hampden-Sydney team that's beaten the Hornets twice this season in Friday's quarterfinals.
The three first-round games Tuesday night include Randolph hosting Roanoke, Washington & Lee playing at Emory & Henry and Bridgewater on the road at Eastern Mennonite.
Roanoke and Randolph split during the regular season, Roanoke won at Randolph last month before the WildCats returned the favor on the Maroons' home court this past Wednesday. Tuesday night's winner advances, the loser is done for the season.
Colton Hunt, RANDOLPH JUNIOR GUARD, said "This is the best time of the season. You know it's fun, everybody starts with a clean record and you know anything can happen in the tournament."
Derrick Woods-Morrow, RANDOLPH SENIOR FORWARD/CENTER, said "Coach is definitely stressing boxing out is a really big thing, definitely get rebounds. And when we get those rebounds, they send a lot of people to the glass, so we're gonna go and push the ball and we're just gonna keep attacking them."
Clay Nunley, RANDOLPH HEAD COACH, said "Like the football analogy, you've got two teams playing and somebody's gonna hit the other one, you know who's gonna do the hitting and who's gonna be on the receiving end. We've got to make sure we're not on the receiving end. If they're the ones being the aggressors, it's gonna be a challenge for us."
