Lynchburg, VA - A Lynchburg family will soon finally have a place to call their own, thanks to Habitat for Humanity.
The group held a groundbreaking ceremony Tuesday morning on Rockbridge Avenue.
The build is part of the collegiate challenge where college students take a hiatus from spring break and get involved in the community.
Leaders say homes like this couldn't be built without all of the sponsors and volunteers.
"We really appreciate these kids, they are very dedicated. They are giving up there week to go to the beach or skiing or where ever there friends are going," said Carolyn Prince, president of the Board of GLHFH
"The biggest thing for us is see the faces on the families when they get the keys to their home, that is the most important thing," said Bryan Veverka, the manager of Lowe's in Madison Heights.
The week long project will get underway next month.
