Charlottesville, VA - The wait is on for a verdict in the George Huguely murder trial in Charlottesville. The jury began deliberating Wednesday morning, and so far there's been no communication.
Having been there from the start, ABC 13 Reporter Jeremy Mills says he believes the verdict will be late Wednesday afternoon or Thursday morning. There's just too much evidence to go over, to look it over quickly.
Wednesday, the first course of action was to dismiss the two alternate jurors. They were both women, so that means the jury out now is seven men and five women. One of those dismissed alternates could prove to be a big loss for the defense.
When the jury watched the emotional interrogation video when Huguely first learned Yeardley Love was dead, that juror began crying and most think that indicates she is sympathetic to Huguely's side.
The media's interest in this case seems to have ramped up even more Wednesday. All three national networks, ESPN and even 48 Hours are in Charlottesville.
