Henry Co., VA - Folks that sell scrap metal in Henry county may soon need a license to do so.
The scrap metal business is huge and lawmakers want to regulate how it's handled.
Sheriff Lane Perry says they want to make sure people aren't trying to sell stolen goods. Each visit is recorded and in the future people may need a license to justify too many visits.
The sheriff also says they are also considering a 15 day waiting period before the metals are recycled.
