Looking for a Good Book by Pattie Martin

I don't get the chance to read books as often as I'd like, but I'm determined to get back into the groove. I've always loved to read. One of my favorite subjects is true crime. I'm not sure why.

I think I actually just stumbled across a true crime book once, picked it up and I was hooked. I've read almost every Ann Rule book out there. In case you haven't heard of her, Rule is an author who has written about a number of notorious criminals...from Ted Bundy (he was actually a colleague of hers at a suicide hotline) to Diane Downs (a woman in Oregon who shot her three children).

When it comes to fiction, Stephen King is one of my favorites. He has an amazing ability to set a scene. I think I was actually more scared reading "The Shining" than I was watching the movie. He's also written some terrific short stories, and not all of them are horror. I loved "Stand By Me"...the novella and the movie.

John Grisham is also a favorite. "The Firm" was one of those books I didn't want to put down, but I also didn't want it to end. I remember forcing myself to stay awake late at night just so I could read a few more pages.

Now I need help getting back into a regular reading routine. So I need some suggestions on what I should read next. I've given you an idea of some of the things I like. What have you read lately?
