The Oklahoma City Thunder sign Derek Fisher rest-of-the-season contract. Fisher is in Oklahoma City Wednesday for the Thunder's game with the LA Clippers.
The Lakers traded him to the Rockets before the deadline and Fisher bought his way out of Houston.
He gave up $3.4 million on next year's contract to be able to pick a contender to join for the stretch run.
Fisher is a five-time NBA Champion. Here is some stats provided by the Thunder. Fisher has appeared in 1,153 career regular season games (722 starts) and recorded averages of 8.7 points, 3.1 assists, 2.1 rebounds and 1.1 steals in 26.3 minutes per game during his 15-plus year NBA career.

"He is someone that will enhance our roster's current and future development on and off the floor through his knowledge, professionalism and approach to the game."
Fisher has made 13 trips to the postseason and posted averages of 8.9 points, 2.6 assists and 2.4 rebounds in 209 career playoff games.
The Arkansas-Little Rock product is currently one of ten active players to tally 10,000 career points, 3,500 assist and 1,200 steals.
Concurrent with the Fisher signing, the Oklahoma City Thunder waived forward Ryan Reid.
