Lynchburg, VA - The Lynchburg Humane Society is celebrating the fact they were able to place more dogs and cats in homes in the Hill City.
Last year, the Lynchburg Humane Society tells us 90% of all animals that left them were adopted, transferred to another rescue organization, or reunited with their owners.
But officials say they are still struggling with a high number of cats and kittens dying at the shelter due to airborne illness.
Officials say they will be able to save more cats once they move into their new facility.
