Lynchburg, VA – Officials say no one was injured after a small fire started in the kitchen at Bedford Hills Elementary School Tuesday. Fire crews responded to the school at about 9:20 a.m.
Officials say the fire was minor, but because of unsafe conditions in the cafeteria, classes will be held outside for the rest of the day. Students will have access to lunch and restrooms in the modular classrooms.
Parents are also allowed to pick up their children at any point Tuesday.
Buses will run on a normal schedule.
