Appomattox Co., VA - The Appomattox County Sheriff's Office is now transitioning from brown to white patrol cars.
Sheriff Barry Letterman says they've ordered one vehicle. It should be out and about in the next six weeks.
Letterman says the white cars are easier to see and are about $500 to $600 cheaper than the brown models.
It will take a few years to make the full transition.
