Henry Co., VA - A Henry County man will spend eight months in jail for littering.
Back in February, police contacted Joseph Eggleston about trash that he had dumped on Terry's Mountain Road.
Police say they told Eggleston to pick up the trash, but he didn't and that's when he was charged.
Work crews eventually picked up 8 bags of trash.
Thursday, Eggleston was sentenced to 12 months in jail with 4 months suspended. He was also fined $1,000.
