Stolen Car Crashed Into Home

Pittsylvania Co., VA- Virginia State Police are continuing their searching for a man who fled the scene of an accident that caused a fire at a home on Whitmell School Rd in Pittsylvania County around 2:30 Saturday morning.

A driver of a Dodge Durango lost control and crashed into a residence, which caught fire.  Police believe that driver fled the scene.

No one in the home at the time was injured.

The driver of the vehicle may also be responsible for stealing a green 1998 Chevy S-10 pick up truck with chrome wheels from the scene of the house fire.

The truck has Virginia license plate number JLT-4302, and the pick up also has a white tailgate and a sticker Backyard Motorsports on the back glass.

The Virginia State Police is asking that anyone with information on the suspect or the location of the stolen vehicle please contact them toll free in Virginia at 1-800-542-5959.
