Lynchburg, VA - Easter was a time for some people to serve others. About 20 volunteers came out to the Daily Bread in Lynchburg to do just that.

The soup kitchen is open seven days a week to help the needy. It takes about 10 volunteers to keep it going on a daily basis.

But on Easter Sunday, some of the extra help came from a social club in town. The women who helped out are part of a group called "The Hill City Queens."

"We like coming to Daily Bread, because it helps us remember how fortunate we are and how blessed we are, the things we have been through, and it could have easily been us sitting at those tables," said Christy Brown, a volunteer from The Hill City Queens.

Daily Bread volunteers say about a hundred people came out to the Easter dinner, that's about the same number they get every day.
