Lynchburg, VA - Easter's a time for many churches to hold special services. And Court Street United Methodist in Lynchburg was one of them.

The choir sang songs of Christ's resurrection during the one-hour service. And it was a packed house of about 250 people at the 11 a.m. service.

Church leaders say they usually see about 100 members most Sundays. They say Christ's resurrection is a special celebration to them.

"It's the idea that He died for our sins, and for the rest of our lives we have nothing to do but to praise Him and spread His love to others and that really is the message of Easter," said minister's assistant Patrick Pillow.

Church leaders say they welcome anyone in the community to attend their regular services. Services start at 11 a.m. on Sundays with Sunday school at 9:45.
