Virginia game officials are advising you watch out for black bears.
They are on the move you need to be careful what they leave in your yard.
The Department of Game and Inland Fisheries says bears generally avoid humans but could wander in your direction if they smell food.
Bears are attracted to bird feeders, garbage, compost piles and pet food. They can also be lured by outdoor grills, beehives or fruit trees. Also keep your trash in the garage if you have one.
