Danville, VA - Two men robbed a convenience store and assaulted the store clerk Tuesday night in Danville.
Officers were called to The Stop By Food Store on West Main Street at around 10 p.m.
The clerk told police that two men entered the business, showed handguns and demanded money.
Police say one of the suspects then assaulted the clerk, took money from the register and the two ran off.
The clerk told officers one of the men fired the gun inside and outside the store as they were leaving.
