Lynchburg - Spring football is winding down for the Liberty Flames.
LU's spring game is a week from Saturday. New head coach Turner Gill talked about the battle for starting quarterback which features senior Tyler Brennan, junior Brian Hudson and redshirt freshman Josh Woodrum out of Cave Spring.
Turner Gill, LIBERTY FLAMES HEAD COACH, said "We'll get it down to two for sure. You just can't prepare for three guys and here like I say, we have somewhat narrowed it down a little bit as two guys as far as each day getting more reps. We're just kind of rotating that, but we'll get down to two for sure by the end of spring."
Pat Kelly, FLAMES SENIOR RECEIVER OUT OF L.C.A., said "They've all got really good arm strength. You know they can take a three-step drop and really throw that 15-yard out, just put it on the money. So I really like the arm strength and the accuracy that we've got."
