Lynchburg, VA - Volunteers in Lynchburg are getting ready for Arbor Day. They have some hands-on events tomorrow at Miller Park.
Right now, volunteers are setting up the pavilions to look like downsized forests. Experts will come in and teach kids about plants and trees. Then, the kids will take their own trees home and plane them.
"The children are the ones who are gonna take care of the trees from now on. We can plant them, but they take a long time to grow so it will be the children who take care of them," said volunteer Marge Denham.
The events start tomorrow at 10 a.m. and go until 3 p.m. Volunteers will be set up in pavilions near The Aviary.
