Bedford, VA - Bedford police say he raped a woman last October, but Tuesday the courts have dropped that charge against James Watkins.
Watkins pleaded no contest to abduction on Friday and the rape charge was dropped in exchange for that plea.
Police were responding to a fight at the Liberty Manor Apartments when they say they found the 24-year-old wearing only socks.
They say a woman on the scene told them she had been sexually assaulted, and he was arrested.
