Roanoke Co., VA - The trial of a well known daycare director is scheduled for Thursday in a Roanoke County Court.
Twila Briscoe ran Alpha Christian Daycare for more than 26 years. She faces one felony child abuse charge and two misdemeanors.
The charges stem from accusations that came to light last October.
A parent told police Briscoe shook a 2-year-old and threatened to spank that child.
Officials say the accusation is backed up by a former daycare worker.
