Lynchburg - Virginia University of Lynchburg will compete in three different events in this weekend's prestigious Penn Relays in Philadelphia.
VUL athletes even qualifying for this meet is a great accomplishment, especially when you consider VUL has no track on campus. Team members rarely knew, from day to day, where they would practice. But as head coach Hubie Bryant tells his kids, all we need is a patch of grass and we can practice. Now two women's and one men's relay team are competing in the Penn Relays.
Naomi Hargrove, VUL RUNNER, said "It's really been really tough especially when the track that we do run on, like they have events and stuff, then we don't have anywhere to go. So we choose to go to the gym where we don't have anywhere to run at, so yea it's been really kind of hard."
