Lynchburg - Miller School's Justin Cooper tossed a two-hitter and struck out nine as the visiting Mavericks blanked Holy Cross 12-0 in five innings in high school baseball Tuesday afternoon.
Miller built an early 8-0 lead through the first two innings and cruised from there behind the pitching of Cooper. Miller improves to 12-and-7 on the season with the victory.
