Hillcats Commit Five Errors, Lose to Carolina

Lynchburg - The Hillcats couldn't overcome five errors in their 5-2 loss to the Carolina Mudcats. Aaron Northcraft went five solid innings and left with a 2-1 lead, but the bullpen couldn't hold it.  It was the third consecutive game that ended in a 5-2 score. The Mudcats lead the four-game series two games to one. The finale will be Thursday morning beginning at 11:05.

Braeden Schlehuber's monster homer over the left field wall gave the Hillcats a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the second, but that's where the offense ended for Lynchburg.

Carolina took its first lead with three runs in the seventh and added another in the ninth for the 5-2 final.
