The Lynchburg College men's lacrosse team won the Old Dominion Athletic Conference for the first time since 2008. The third ranked team in the country defeated Washington and Lee 10-4 on Sunday. It's LC's fourth ODAC title in program history.
The Generals had an early start scoring two goals in the first quarter. However, the Hornets answered back in the second quarter with three goals from juniors Pat Ohrem, Vin Curran and Max Voumard. Lynchburg lead 3-2 at halftime.
During the third quarter the Hornets were able to score three more goals from Andrew Wilfong, Matt Manzo and Orhem.
LC's 16-game winning streak earned the ODAC's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. The Hornets received a bye in the first round and will then face the winner of Denison-Adrian game Saturday May 12th. The game will likely be at home. The game time is to be determined.
