Lovingston, VA - A Lynchburg man is talking about walking away from a tractor trailer accident that killed a Nelson County woman Friday.
Phil Theisen was driving on Route 29 in Lovingston when the crash happened.
State Police say Constance Bradshaw, 69, was trying to make a left turn onto Route 29 when her car was hit by a tractor trailer.
Troopers say the tractor trailer driver tried to change lanes and he hit Theisen. Bradshaw died on the way to the hospital. Theisen only had a few bumps and bruises.
"You realize how precious life is, how it can change in an instant. Actually in my terms of employment one of our mottos is, 'Anyone can join us at anytime.' And life can change that quickly," said Phil Theisen, executive director of LACIL.
As you can imagine, this was a pretty rough experience to walk away from. Theisen says he plans to visit a counselor soon to talk about the crash.
