Lynchburg, VA - The Wingate Hotel in Lynchburg is set to go on the auction block later in May.
According to a trustee for the sale, the owner of the property - Office Parks of Lynchburg - has defaulted on its loan. The auction is scheduled for May 24 at the Lynchburg Courthouse.
However, ABC-13 News got in touch with the hotel's general manager Wednesday. She says Office Parks told her this auction will not go through.
The trustee says a foreclosure can be canceled right up until the last minute before an auction.
