Richmond, VA - A victory Wednesday night for supporters of Virginia Training Centers, like CVTC.
Family members filed a motion to intervene in the case between the federal government and the state. Wednesday night, a federal judge has granted their motion to intervene.
What's more, the judge deemed their motion to dismiss filed. That means the feds and state both now have 10 days to respond to the families' motion to dismiss the case. The U.S. Department of Justice wants Virginia to transition from Training Centers to community-based care. This move could stop that, and keep the centers open.
We'll have more on this legal battle, as it unfolds.
