Danville, VA- People celebrated Mother's Day in many different ways.
In Danville we dropped by the local Target store to see what last minute gifts folks were picking up.
Some shoppers finished early in the week but there were still a few rushing in and out of the stores.
A few people stopped to tell us about their plans and or gifts for Mother's Day.
"I purchased a flower pot for my grandmother, I had gotten her this Aloe Vera plant that she always had growing up" said mother Maryhannah Littlefield.
"I got two of the same movie-The Vow- for Mother's Day & I had to bring one of them back" said mother Linda Bowman.
"For Mother's day I took my wife to a breakfast this morning, and then throughout the day we'll just spend the day as a family and then I'll take her out for dinner" said husband Eric Gaskill.
According to the site Fiscal Times people will spend around 18 billion on Mother's Day gifts this year.
