Lynchburg, VA - Some Lynchburg restaurants got a big boost in business for Mother's Day. Robin Alexander and Choice Hibachi Buffet were packed all day.
Both restaurants brought in extra staff to meet all the demands. Workers at Robin Alexander expected about a thousand customers on Sunday.
"It's busy. It's Mother's Day so it's a great time to come out. Mom doesn't have to stay home and cook or clean or anything. So you can bring her out to a restaurant. It's always been busy in any restaurant you're in," said owner of Robin Alexander Alex Richardson.
By early afternoon Choice Hibachi Buffet saw more than 2,000 customers. Workers there say they're expecting another 2,000 before closing time.
"It's non-stop. We open for breakfast at 7:30. We don't stop until 10 o'clock at night so the turnover is constant and it's all day," said manager of Choice Hibachi Buffet Jean Ferguson.
Managers say the college graduation crowds also helped boost business.
