Posted:

LYNCHBURG - In the last game played at Al Worthington Stadium, High Point sent Liberty home with a 13-11 loss.

The Flames will open a new on-campus stadium next season.

Liberty scored eight runs in the first inning but the Panthers nearly matched them with seven runs in the second inning.

The Flames used seven pitchers. Andy Smith homered but two ninth inning runs proved to be the difference for High Point.

The Flames face Virginia Tech Tuesday and then finish out the regular season at Radford.
